Luminale ART unites excellent artistic works and projects within the spectrum of light and city.

The focus is on light and media art, which makes use of different formats and processes, such as video mapping, photography, installation or multimedia, and deals with a specific location in terms of content - for example, with its architecture, history, reception, and use. The site-related works are complemented by those artistically revolving around issues relevant to the city of Frankfurt.

The project selection was supported and counselled by the Luminale’s interdisciplinary Advisory Board. As nucleus of the curated Luminale program, the Light Walk combines artistic works into a compact, inner-city stroll, connecting landmarks and monuments with undiscovered and more remote locations.
