BASILEA RE-Church

A Light-Art-Music Project in Frankfurt’s St. Boniface Church

A project by Herbert  Cybulska (Licht) und Sebastian Studnitzy (Komposition, Trompete, Keys, Electronics)

Churches are places of spirituality - and places of encounter. This particularly applies to Frankfurt’s Bonifatiuskirche (St. Boniface Church), as it is, in the architectural sense, a building of the New Frankfurt - an international, architectural style that continues to fascinate, challenge and inspire architects and designers from around the world; from Shanghai to Mexico.

In the art event BASILEA - RE_CHURCH, light and music transform the location into an art space in the spirit of the architect Martin Weber. Sebastian Studnitzy (trumpet, keys, electronics) has composed a soundtrack especially for this event. This alternates with musicians playing live accompaniment to the dynamic light-space-images created by Herbert Cybulska.

Admission every 30 minutes. Visitors are invited to move freely in the room. Sebastian Studnitzky's composition and the live music sections alternate accordingly.

Sunday: Matthias Hagedorn und Ensemble Ctrl_X (Orgel / E-Cello / Synthesizer)
