Mountain Silhouette

A project by Marco Poblete

MOUNTAIN SILHOUETTE represents the abstraction of a mountainous landscape, allowing scope for multi-dimensional interpretation. This is emphasized by its suspension from the top of the showcase and rotated at an angle of 180°. The installation shows three jagged, wooden partitions, which, superimposed visually, create a spatial depth. The wood finish is intersected by chromatic accents in neon orange and yellow.

The extensive mirror on the floor creates a further dimension, expanding the space “beneath”. The mirror thus offers a view behind the facade of the mountain silhouette. The installation is illuminated around the clock.

The work was created by Tishman&Speyer within the framework of a competition Kunst am Bau (Art in Architecture) at Offenbach’s Academy for Design for the art showcase at the Deutsche Bank Campus.
