Under the title “P18-2A“, Max Auerbach, Tim Drehkopf ans Simon Gerstner present a light and sound installation in the form of a pyramid, illuminating the Taunus-Anlage and guiding visitors to a gathering place in the heart of the city. Surrounded by skyscrapers, the Taunus-Anlage was especially chosen as the meeting place, a hub for night owls. A small, haven of peace in the midst of the hectic metropolis, inviting visitors a brief respite, to calm their thoughts; perhaps to dream. In dream interpretation, a pyramid means striving for a higher level of consciousness. In our global world, where there often seems a lack of collective thought and action, an awareness of the homogeneity of all mankind could advance this quest. We have projected this concept onto modern society and city life, creating a soundscape from recorded conversations and sounds of the urban backdrop, in which we seek to offer ideas and inspiration towards a collective coexistence.
